SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS/WSRP) — A woman died after a car accident in rural Sangamon County at 7:29 a.m. on Saturday.

According to Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon, the 38-year-old woman was from Edinburg, IL.

Several departments responded to the accident including the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office, Rochester Police Department, and Rochester Fire.

Officials found a black 2011 Chevrolet Silverado truck in a field on the side of the road after it appeared to have rolled over.

The woman was found lying next to the truck on the passenger side.

The incident happened in the 11000 block of Boyd Farm Rd. which is southeast of Rochester.

Her identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The coroner said an autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.

Her death is under investigation by the coroner and the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office.
