WEST PALM BEACH — Storms are likely to return to Palm Beach County this afternoon and evening, bringing a possibility of flooding and strong wind gusts, according to The National Weather Service in Miami.

The nasty weather will start around 4 p.m., and the western parts of the county around Lake Okeechobee's southern edge are likely to be most affected.

Areas that are already saturated due to Friday's rains have the highest risk of localized flooding, which the weather service has defined as "limited."

Thunderstorm risk for May 21, 2022.

The risk of strong thunderstorms is "elevated" in Palm Beach County, according to NWS.  Thunderstorms will likely clear overnight, and the forecast for the start of the week is more predictable.
