Winston-Salem Symphony season ending with ‘The Happy Concert’
This weekend marks the end of the Winston-Salem Symphony Orchestra's 2021-22 season. While they hate to say goodbye, the symphony's last concert is sure to leave attendees in much better spirits. "The Happy Concert," the symphony's last series for the season, takes a comedic approach to classical music with nods to pop culture. It also features guest conductors and performers Aleksey Igudesman and Hyung-ki Joo.During an interview with WXII, Igudesman and Joo spoke about how their idea of "The Happy Concert" came to be, how they were able to work together being from two different countries and what attendees can expect to hear at the concert.
