A man wanted by officials in New Jersey has been arrested in Marlboro County after a police chase.
The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office said the Uniformed Patrol Division along with the Criminal Investigation Division attempted to conduct a lawful traffic stop on a driven by Sean Anthony Gray, 44 years old, of New Orange, New Jersey in the McColl area of Marlboro County.
Deputies said Gray failed to stop and led them on a chase into Clio where he eventually crashed. Gray continued to flee on foot but was apprehended shortly after.
A report said Gray was found to be wanted by the U.S. Marshall’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police.
Deputies added he was also found to be in possession of a stolen handgun, a large amount of cash and a large amount of various narcotics.
Items seized from his vehicle included:
- $6,000 U.S. currency
- 897 grams of cocaine
- 66 grams of crack
- 381 grams of marijuana
- 25 grams of meth
- 81 grams of fentanyl
- Stolen 9mm handgun
Gray was transported to the Marlboro County Detention Center where is being held for the U.S. Marshall Service.
He has been charged by the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office with failure to stop for blue lights, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon during the commission of violent crime, trafficking cocaine, trafficking crack, trafficking meth, trafficking fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
The value of the illegal drugs is $49,900, deputies said.
Gray is awaiting a bond hearing on the charges from the sheriff's office.
