NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio
Burglary: McKinley Avenue
Police responded to a report of a burglary on May 17. A 14-year-old suspect was located and arrested. Another suspect was identified. They face felony charges of burglary, trespassing, theft without consent and misdemeanor charges of criminal trespassing and unruly juvenile. Computer equipment and musical instruments were recovered.
Obstructing official business: Stratton Mill Street
On May 9, police stopped a driver for speeding. After police said the truck would be towed, a man arrived on scene and failed to follow officer’s orders. An Avon man was arrested and charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
Protection order: Lorain Road
An officer on patrol observed a disturbance at a gas station on May 17. An investigation determined a man was violating his temporary protection order and was arrested.
OVI: Root Road
On May 13, police were dispatched for a reckless operation complaint. Officers located the driver and arrested him on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Warrant arrest: Rosebelle
Police stopped a driver for a suspended license on May 10. The man had an active warrant through North Olmsted Police and was arrested and transferred to that jurisdiction.
Warrant service: Center Ridge Road
On May 13, a warrant service investigation was conducted. An Akron man was arrested and transported to Lorain County Jail.
Drunk driving: Lear Nagle Road
On May 15, police stopped a driver for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested and charged with drunk driving and open container.
