One man is dead, and traffic has been affected after a three-car crash early Saturday morning in Oakland Park that included a car hitting a pole, officials said.

Shortly before 4 a.m., a 911 call reported a crash near the 200 block of East Oakland Park Boulevard, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and the Oakland Park Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the man who was driving the car that hit pole dead at the scene.

No one else was injured.

The westbound lane on Oakland Park Blvd. is closed and only one lane of traffic is open on the eastbound side of Oakland Park Blvd.

Drivers should seek alternate routes.
