Six arrests by local agencies include gun charge in Franklin

Local agencies reported six arrests Thursday, including one on a gun charge by Franklin police.
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and made this arrest:
—Donavon Washington, 26, Baldwin, was arrested at 8:03 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of window tint violation, no driver’s license on person, resisting an officer and possession of marijuana.
Washington was released on a $4,000 bond.
Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 50 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
—Randy Hatcher, 32, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:52 a.m. Thursday on a charge of entry or remaining where forbidden.
—Georgianna Jacqulin Sweetser, 54, Ditch Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:01 p.m. Thursday as a fugitive from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations (Ouachita Parish)
Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly said the Franklin Police Department responded to six complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
—Ray Granger, 34, Caffery Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:39 a.m. Thursday on a warrant dated Wednesday and alleging accessory after the fact, obstruction of justice by tampering with evidence, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Granger was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
—Jodi Funderburk, 41, Rene Guidry Road, Breaux Bridge, was arrested at 4:31 p.m. Thursday on a charge of theft. Funderburk was booked, processed and held on a $5,000 bond.
—Cody Allemand, 34, Lydia Street, Gray, was arrested at 6:56 p.m. Thursday on a charge of attempted theft. Allemand was booked, processed and released on a $1,500.00 bond.
