St. Pete police investigate fatal shooting

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — St. Petersburg police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place early Saturday morning at a home on 34th Avenue South in St. Pete.

Officers were called to the home around 7:30 a.m. where they found 29-year-old Marcus Nilsen suffering from a gunshot wound.

Authorities said 25-year-old James White was arrested in connection to the shooting but did not immediately provide additional information about the incident.

Nilsen was later pronounced dead.

An investigation is onging. This is a developing story.
