Ginger Zee to miss GMA with Covid after revealing she and kids have been struck by virus in Instagram post

GINGER Zee announced that she will be "out" from Good Morning America.

The meteorologist, 41, and her two children have Covid-19, according to a social media post.

Zee shared a photo on Instagram of the positive tests.

"COVID cubed in the house," Zee said in the caption. "Everyone is feeling tired & stuffy but okay - I'll be out for a bit to keep everyone safe."

"Hope you all stay healthy & safe."

Fans and coworkers took to the comments to give Zee their well-wishes.

"Oh no!! Feel better!! And good luck!" commented her co-star Dylan Dreyer.

"Feel better soon!" said fellow meteorologist Brittany Bell.

A fan said "Me too ginger! Missing my granddaughter's field trip. And I am vaccinated and boosted," to which Ginger responded, "I am too."

Another in the comments said "Feel better and get lots of rest so you can come back to work soon. I'm in @ginger_zee withdrawal."

Ginger did not share any details regarding the health of her husband Ben Aaron.

This comes days after she revealed a GMA secret "you'd never have known."

The GMA meteorologist posted an Instagram clip on Tuesday where she showed off her quick transformation into her on-air look.

"You would never know my car got a flat tire and I was an hour late this morning," she wrote.

"thanks to @msmerylin who picked me up on the side of the road... and @fairweatherfaces who whipped my face into shape fast.

"I think I'm coming in an hour late from here on out if this is the result."

Fellow ABC correspondent Kaylee Hartung complimented Ginger's outfit, commenting: "Heroes! You were beaming in the yellow!"

And colleague Karen Rogers added: "Oh my Gosh if that happened to me I'd never make it on the air on time! You look great!!!"
