Around 2:40 a.m. Pittsburgh Police responded to a shotspotter alert on Frankstown and Brushtown Avenues.
When officers arrived, they found a female victim with a gunshot wound in her back.
The victim was conscious, alert, and speaking with medics and officers before being transported to a local hospital.
She was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.
An investigation is open and ongoing.
