Charleston church hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic Saturday

Charleston, South Carolina – As COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations from the highly contagious omicron variant are rising again, a downtown Charleston church decided to host a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic in order to protect the community from the virus in the upcoming months.

The vaccine clinic will be held on Saturday at Morris Brown AME Church and those attending the event will be able to receive vaccines regardless of whether it is their first dose, second dose, or booster dose.

Those interested in obtaining the vaccines need to go to the parking lot of the church at 13 Morris Street starting at 11 a.m. through 2 p.m.

According to a press release, “With the FDA approving the boosters for children five years old and older this week, we are asking everyone to come out and get a vaccination or booster.”

The church will also offer lunch to those to whom a COVID-19 vaccine will be administered.
