Leatherman started New York Bagels’N Bialys with Shelley Curtis in 2005 in Scottsdale. Third generation bakers, Leatherman and Curtis drew from their upbringings in Chicago and New York City to serve breakfast fare, blintzes, brisket, bagels, and bialys.

The pair produces more than 7,000 bagels daily in their kosher bakery before it is all distributed across the Valley. Making their bagels from scratch, they have their own in-house bagel formers and kettles that prep the bagels to perfection before they are baked.

They offer 20 flavors of bagels and 16 bialys options, from Blueberry, Everything, Cinnamon Raisin, Onion, and more. Their restaurants also serve full breakfast and lunch menus that include benedicts, omelets, sandwiches and salads. Leatherman says customers will also have libations such as mimosas and Bloody Mary’s to look forward to when they open in Phoenix this fall.
