Looks like our Christmas present came quite early! NBC just announced that the queen of country music, Dolly Parton, will once again help the network ring in the holidays.

The contemporary movie musical will be set in Dollywood – the country legend’s amusement park in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains – and will take its viewers on a marvelous journey through Dolly Parton‘s past. The entertainer will then share valuable lessons with the help of the mystifying appearances of her personal Three Wise Men, like how the real magic of Christmas lies in the children’s hearts that we all once were. Indeed, it will ultimately challenge our notions of the holiday season.

Keeping Up Her Tradition Of Heartening Holiday Movies

Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas isn’t actually the country singer’s first collaboration with NBC. Seven years ago, she signed a deal with the network to develop a series of TV movies that are based on her most well-known songs and inspirational life. Fans were thrilled with the release of Coat Of Many Colors. The sequel Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love followed a year later.

In 2020, Parton also produced and starred in the Netflix musical Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square. But that doesn’t end there, she also wrote fourteen original festive songs for the movie.

Indeed, the country legend has been bringing Christmas joy to a greater level for many years. However, the premier date for Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas has not yet been announced. So, make sure to stay tuned.
