Who knew that the Los Angeles Rams had some acting chops to them? Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford are more known for their exploits on the football field. After all, they did win the Super Bowl the past year. During the offseason, it seems like they’ve tried their hand at a couple of other exploits.

The latest trailer for Tom Cruise’s new movie Top Gun: Maverick featured a cameo from Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford. In the trailer, the Rams head coach delivered a rousing motivational speech, while Stafford, along with other notable athletes like Aliyah Boston, performed a training montage. The Rams are riding off of an incredible high from last season. After assembling a star-studded team, they fulfilled their destiny by winning the NFC Championship game. They would then proceed to avenge their Super Bowl loss in 2017 and defeated the Cincinnati Bengals to give McVay and Stafford their first rings in the NFL.

Los Angeles is looking to recapture that magic from last season. They lost a couple of important pieces such as Von Miller, but they also made sure to replace their losses with other star players. The NFC is theirs for the taking again, with a couple of their old rivals rising up in power as well.

For now, though, the Rams are relaxing and taking the offseason easy, and taking a well-deserved rest from their grueling season. Perhaps McVay and Stafford can rest a little easier once they get confirmation on Aaron Donald’s status for next season.
