WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi have been suspended indefinitely for their actions last Monday Night Raw.

WWE announced through Michael Cole and Pat McAfee that WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi have been indefinitely suspended. The two have been stripped of the championship titles following their actions last Monday Night. The announcement was made during Friday Night SmackDown, right before the Main Event, where we saw The Usos take away the Raw Tag Team Championship from RK-Bro, unifying the Tag Team Titles under The Bloodline.

With the titles stripped from Naomi and Banks, new champions will be crowned in a Women's Tag Team Championship Tournament. When this will be held and who the competitors will be have yet been revealed.

Sasha and Naomi walked out Monday Night during the show's taping after Sasha reportedly disagreed with WWE's creative. The two were set to compete in a six-man match where the winner was going to be the new Number 1 Contender to Bianca Belair's Raw Women's Championship Title. Naomi was reportedly going over in that match, with the intention of Naomi facing Belair in Hell in a Cell for the Title. Sasha reportedly didn't appreciate the fact that WWE's creative did not have any plans for the Tag Team Champions for the premium live event and beyond.

The two have reportedly been promised big-time matches during WrestleMania 38 but were instead relegated to the Tag Team Division. The two then only agreed to become Tag Team Champions after being reportedly promised that the championship will be given importance and will be involved in Major Storylines. Sensing that this will not happen last Monday, Sasha reportedly pitched new finishes for the match on Monday, and when that didn't work, pitched an interference finish in the premium live event to continue putting the Tag Team in the picture. When that didn't work, Sasha and Naomi brought the titles to WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis, and left the belts on his desk before walking out of the arena.

The walkout of the Tag Team Champions forced WWE to change the Main Event of Raw, resulting in confusion from fans as the Main Event didn't go as promised. WWE has since acknowledged the walkout – with WWE uncharacteristically breaking kayfabe with their statement, calling the show scripted, and laying out the expectations from the talents as actors to do what they're asked to do based on the script.
