Resorts Casino Hotel Atlantic City Poised To Drop 5,000 Beach Balls

It’s not officially the summer season until Resorts Casino Hotel drops 5,000 Beach balls on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

It’s magical, as 5,000 beach balls will be suspended over the boardwalk and then released on the crowd below as part of Resorts' Annual Beach Ball Drop on Friday, May 27, 2022.

Here’s a preview of sorts by seeing what it has looked like in recent past years:

The Resorts Casino Hotel boardwalk festivities will begin at 1:00 p.m. with action-packed activities, games,
entertainment, and even a mermaid photo opportunity.

At 5:00 p.m., guests can enjoy the main event when the beach balls drop.

Live entertainment will be available right after the beach ball drop.

Additionally, on hand for the early festivities will be Atlantic City Mayor, Marty Small Sr., who will deliver remarks during the Annual Opening of the Sea Ceremony, which begins at 1:00 p.m.

Mayor Small will be joined by Mark Giannantonio, President and Chief Executive Officer of Resorts Casino Hotel Atlantic City.

We caught up with Giannantonio, who said:

We are thrilled to celebrate our 44th Anniversary on Memorial Day Weekend, by hosting our Signature Event; Resorts Iconic Beach Ball Drop. After a two year hiatus because of the pandemic, we are thrilled to launch the beginning of the summer at Resorts with thousands of our fans and supporters - said Giannantonio.

The fun continues all weekend long, with the Boogie Wonder Band on Saturday, May 28, 2022 in the Super Star Theater and numerous activities on Sunday and Monday.
