Colts 'working to add' former Bears QB Nick Foles

The Indianapolis Colts decided to move on from quarterback Carson Wentz after only one season with the team. While the Colts upgraded this offseason, acquiring four-time pro-bowler Matt Ryan, they may still be looking to add to the quarterback room.

According to The Athletics' Zak Keefer, the Indianapolis Colts are "working to add" 10-year veteran and Super Bowl LII MVP Nick Foles.

Foles spent the last two seasons with the Chicago Bears before being released this offseason. Foles started seven games in his first season in Chicago, completing 64.7% of his passes while throwing for 1,852 yards, ten touchdowns, and eight interceptions. The Bears were 2-5 in Foles' seven starts.

The 33-year-old played only one game in 2021, starting in a 25-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. Foles completed 24 of 35 passes for 250 yards and a touchdown.

Foles has played for the Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Bears, compiling a 29-27 record as a starter.

In 68 career games, Foles has thrown for 14,003 yards and 82 touchdowns, with a 62.4 completion percentage.
