A 17-year-old and a 22-year-old man have been arrested and charged in a double shooting on May 8 at the corner of Main Street and Liberty Street near the courthouse in Bennettsville, according to Chief Kevin Miller with the Bennettsville Police Department.

Miller said several teens were at an event following prom when the shooting happened.

He added a 19-year-old girl was shot in the foot and another person in the back. Both went to the hospital for their injuries.

No word on their conditions.

Chief Miller has not released the name of the people who were arrested.
