AUGUSTA (WGME) – A Lewiston man was shot and killed in Augusta Friday.
The shooting happened at a towing company and there are indications it may have had something to do with a vehicle in their impound lot.
Maine State Police say the shooting happened at Ready Road Service Towing Company.
Police say around 11 a.m., 36-year-old Tyler Morin of Lewiston was shot and killed.
They say right now, no arrests have been made, and they’re investigating the circumstances surrounding Morin’s death.
According to the Kennebec Journal, local officials on the scene said the shooting was related to a vehicle in the company's impound lot.
The paper reports Morin appeared to have been shot while trying to take a vehicle from the lot and nearly hit a company employee with the vehicle.
When CBS13 got on scene, a Maine State Police evidence response vehicle was just leaving.
