Nigerian dwarf goats can weigh up to 75 pounds and are known to have a calm temperament, according to the zoo.

PURPLE LAKE: Visitors flocked to see a lake that had turned a deep purple color in the Bavarian alps in Germany on Wednesday (4/3). The local state environment office said the unusual color is from Sulphur bacteria that is normally found in deep water that made its way to the water's surface. It also said the bacteria will eventually sink again, as it also happened in 2020 and 2021.

Flowers Left at Sydney Mall in Tribute to Attack Victims Flowers were seen laid in tribute outside a shopping mall in Sydney’s Bondi Junction, after six people were killed there in a stabbing attack on April 13. Footage taken by Oakland Zoo shows a slender tailed meerkat meerkat standing on its hind legs and making murmur vocalizations. “These marvelous mammals make a soft vocalization when they are on sentry duty to let the other meerkats foraging nearby know that everything is safe,” the zoo said. Runners Race Over Seven Mile Bridge in Florida Keys Participants raced over Seven Mile Bridge connecting the Florida Keys on April 13, in the 43rd Annual 7 Mile Bridge Run. Footage filmed by the Florida Keys News Bureau gives both aerial and on-the-ground views of the 1,500-person race on Saturday. The race started at Sunshine Key, also known as Ohio Key, and ended at Isla Bella, according to organizers. The Florida Keys News Bureau reported Collin Wainwright of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, won the men’s division and was the first to cross the finish line, completing the race in 40 minutes and 33 seconds.
