This summer, Disney+ is going full theatre kid. Shortly after announcing that Glee would be coming to Disney+ and Hulu this June, the streaming giant revealed that it finally has a premiere date for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 3. Wednesday, July 27 prepare to melt once more into Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett’s perfect harmonies. And we have your first look at this new season.

Whereas Seasons 1 and 2 of the show tool place during the school year, the eight-episode Season 3 is mixing things up. Much like the summer-focused High School Musical 2, this season will be set during those hot months outside of the school year. In a clip from this new season, the students from East High School sit around the stage of Camp Shallow Lake as none other than former HSM cast member Corbin Bleu takes the microphone.

“I can’t wait to tell you what we’ve got planned this summer,” Bleu, playing a fictionalized version of himself, says. “My pals at the House of Mouse have given us the keys to the Magic Kingdom. And that means you guys are gonna be the first camp on the planet to premiere a global blockbuster, which became a Broadway sensation.”

We already know what Bleu is teasing: Frozen! After High School Musical: The Musical and Beauty and the Beast, that’s the play this time around. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 3 stars Joshua Bassett, Sofia Wylie, Matt Cornett, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, and Frankie Rodriguez as well as newcomers Saylor Bell Curda and Adrian Lyles, who will play Maddox and Jet. But before you start panicking, yes, Olivia Rodrigo will be in this season. This time around her role has been scaled back to being a guest star. Kate Reinders, Olivia Rose Keegan, Larry Saperstein, and Joe Serafini will also guest star. New episodes will stream on Disney+ weekly on Wednesdays.

But wait, there’s more. Not only do we know when HSM:TM:TS will premiere but we also have an official Season 4 renewal. “This series continues to deliver best in class drama, humor, and heart,” Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, said in a press release. “Tim Federle’s vision and interpretation of this legacy IP keeps evolving season over season, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Wildcats next.”

“This series has been an epic adventure from the start and I’m beyond grateful that we get to keep making music, telling these stories, and showcasing these exceptional stars,” Federle added.
