A Winston-Salem man is facing nearly 20 charges for leading Forsyth County deputies on a chase that reached speeds of around 100 miles per hour.Dexter Funderburk Jr., 28, refused to stop for a traffic violation on East 25th Street, near Liberty Street, according to deputies.He then led deputies in a vehicle pursuit. Deputies briefly lost sight of the vehicle Funderburk was in as he reached speeds around 100 miles per hour, before locating him on Utopia Road with a woman and child inside the car.Investigators determined that Funderburk broke into a nearby home.Funderburk then admitted to swallowing fentanyl while inside the residence. EMS responded to the scene and took him to a local hospital for treatment.After being released from the hospital, Funderburk was taken to the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center for booking.Funderburk was arrested and charged with the following in addition to other traffic violations: Felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule 1 controlled substanceFelony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for sue, keeping or selling of a controlled substanceFelony altering, destroying or stealing evidence of criminal conductFelony flees to eludeMisdemeanor resist, delay or obstructing a public officerMisdemeanor breaking or enteringMisdemeanor injury to real propertyMisdemeanor child abuseMisdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minorMisdemeanor possession of drug paraphernaliaFunderburk was also served five outstanding warrants for arrest from the Winston-Salem Police Department.He received a bond of $26,525 and is being held at the FCLEDC.

  • Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Funderburk was also served five outstanding warrants for arrest from the Winston-Salem Police Department.

He received a bond of $26,525 and is being held at the FCLEDC.
