Will the Warriors take a 2-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks? Does it even matter?

The Western Conference Finals return to Chase Center on Friday night and veteran 95.7 The Game play-by-play man Tim Roye will be on the call for the 6 p.m. PT tip-off. Ahead of the anticipated matchup, Roye joined 95.7 The Game’s “Willard & Dibs” Friday morning to talk Dubs-Mavs. Check out the full interview below:

“The math is the math,” Roye said. “Steve Kerr, as head coach with the Warriors in this run (since 2015), they’ve won 19 of 20 series when they’ve won the first game. So it is significant to win Game 1. They have lost Game 2s to Cleveland, to Memphis and still gone on to win series and titles. I don’t know if (Game 2) is as huge as you think, because the Warriors have won a road game in 25 straight series now. But I do think you want to continue to set the tone of what you did, and that is making them a little bit uncomfortable, not letting Dallas get into the groove that they had during the Phoenix series.”
