As outstanding as NY Giants legend Eli Manning was on the football field, he may be better when it comes to delivering fantastic comedy. Whether it be his work on Twitter or in commercials, Manning has been known of late to provide gold. He’ll do so in person too. Just ask New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft about that.

This week, Kraft was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Sports Business Journal. Kraft was presented with this award at the 2022 Sports Business Awards Show, but unfortunately for him, Manning was also in the house.

No one has forgotten about the two Super Bowl wins where Manning and Co. were able to take down Tom Brady and the Pats. Manning had no choice but to remind Kraft of that and he did so in incredible fashion, according to SBJ’s Ben Fischer.

NY Giants legend Eli Manning owned Robert Kraft with a Super Bowl joke

"“My mom Olivia sends her apologies,” Manning said. “She said if it weren’t for her, Robert Kraft would have at least 10 Super Bowls.”"

That’s just fantastic from Manning. He’s not the only one in the family to provide Kraft and the Pats plenty of heartache, as older brother Peyton eliminated the Patriots from the playoffs a total of three times: twice with the Denver Broncos and once with the  Indianapolis Colts. Since Kraft has six Super Bowls to his name, the Manning bros indeed have prevented him from potentially bringing home the Lombardi Trophy a double-digit amount of times.

That’s a bummer for folks in the Boston area, but no one in East Rutherford is going to complain about that. Manning retired from the NFL after the 2019 season, spending all 16 campaigns of his NFL career with the Giants. He tossed for more than 57,000 yards, 366 touchdowns and went to the Pro Bowl four times.

Manning also has his Super Bowl wins from 2008 and 2012 to his name, both coming against NE. Now, he can add a brilliant zinger of Kraft and the Patriots to his long list of accomplishments. Manning will forever be a New York great and nothing will change that. You can say he’ll always be hated by the New England faithful as well.
