For the first time since 2019, the Golden State Warriors have returned to the Western Conference Finals, prompting many in the previously dormant Dub Nation to come out of the woodwork.

To celebrate the Warriors’ health and resurgence, NBC Sports Bay Area is pulling out all the stops for their pre and postgame shows, which apparently means landing Food Network star Guy Fieri for a guest appearance.

After Golden State’s dominant effort in Game 1 of their series against the Dallas Mavericks, Fieri was asked by Warriors legend Chris Mullin to compare Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green with an entrée.

“If they were a dish, together, what would they be?” Mullin asked, prompting Fieri to ponder a question that had absolutely nothing to do with the NBA Playoffs.

“A dish that is so famous here in Northern California that was made in San Francisco that is one of my all time favorites and has so much flavor, so much complexity and so many unique ingredients in it, and it’s called spicy seafood cioppino,” Fieri answered.

Nice job by Fieri. Mullin put the pressure on with a tough question and the Food Network star delivered.

“These guys are spicy, it’s eclectic, and here’s the thing, you take one bite and you’re hooked,” Fieri explained.

Maybe that’s what happened to Fieri? One look at the Warriors this postseason and he was hooked? Because he entered the NBA Playoffs rooting for the Phoenix Suns, just like he did last season when he was spotted courtside in The Valley, and later on the court, tossing a plethora of airballs and bricks.
