At UPMC Children’s Hospital, parents described to Senator Casey their worries about where their child’s next meal will come from.

Resident Lydia Paul told Senator Casey she had to get formula from several different places and was close to running out.

“We have been impacted by the shortage. I was down to a little over a half of a can.”

Senator Casey says Congress is taking several actions to ensure a crisis like this never happens again, with some of those including new authorities for the FDA and for the Department of Agriculture.
