Diners at Michelin starred restaurant have slap up meal and ‘leave without paying’ – leaving owner furious
THE owners of a Michelin-starred restaurant are furious after two diners had a slap-up meal and allegedly left without paying.
The brazen pair were recorded on CCTV after racking up a £150 bill at Muse, in Yarm, Teesside.
The restaurant’s bosses are asking for the publics' help in tracking down the culprits who tucked into their posh grub "without paying".
They posted still from their CCTV showing the two men sat on a table outside the venue in shorts and T-shirts on their Facebook page.
In the post, they told how they are giving the men a deadline of tomorrow to come back and pay before they contact the police.
It reads: "Please can the two guys that just got up and left without paying their £150 bill at 8.25pm on Thursday 19th May please contact us.
"We just want the bill settled so we don’t have to take this matter any further.
"We don’t really want to make a fuss so give us a call on 01642 788558.
"If anyone recognises them please urge them to get in touch to settle the bill.
"If we have not received payment by 12 noon Saturday we will be informing the police."
The post has now been shared more than a thousand times - with locals also commenting their support for the restaurant.
One eagle-eyed fan wrote: “This was clearly planned by the pair. One gets up the other stays seated.
“He waits till the other leaves then gets up walking out reading the menu from the table to make it look less obvious. Hope they get caught.”
Another said: "I have shared I hope they pay up!!! It’s just getting worse and worse for businesses!"

A fourth fumed: “Hope you get your money! And these 2 tw*ts learn how to behave.
“I'm sure they would have a different view on things if it was their business that was getting mugged off. Again, tw*ts.”
