Scotty Moore Endorsed by Florida Republican Assembly

Over in Congressional District 9, US Rep. Darren Soto (D-FL) will be defending his incumbency.  However, Scotty Moore, who is currently a contender in the Republican Primary race, just earned the endorsement of the Florida Republican Assembly organization.

The Florida Republican Assembly is a Republican organization that claims to promote, "conservative principles," and claims to be the, "home," of Republicans like Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, and Fredrick Douglas.

The group only endorses candidates on every level of government who they feel, "reflect the Party’s true Conservative philosophy."

Scotty Moore responded to the endorsement.

"Through my time on the campaign trail, I have gotten to know the Patriots at FRA very well," said Moore. "They are as grassroots as it gets and love our country and Central Florida very much.  Their support for our campaign is invaluable and necessary to flip the House. I look forward to having them as a crucial part of the team as I continue to work hard to be your next Congressman and earn your vote."

Lou Marin, the President of the Orange County Chapter, and the National Director of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, said on behalf of Moore that "the Florida Republican Assembly is excited to endorse Scotty for Congress," adding that "Scotty embodies everything we want to see in a candidate. He’s a problem solver focused on genuine issues, he is out working hard, he is connecting with voters, and he is getting out the conservative message to audiences all over Central Florida.  He believes in our traditional values, and I have no doubt he will be a great advocate for those values in the halls of our Nation’s capital once elected in November."

District 9 will be a key race this November, as Republicans attempt to take back the US House.  Historically, the party who controls the White House underperforms the opposing party in the first midterm election.  With Florida turning exceedingly red, this will be a true test of Soto's influence in the state.
