Graduations at Branch County high schools begin Sunday

High school bands are rehearsing “Pomp and Circumstance” and Branch County seniors have their caps and gowns ready for graduation season that begins Sunday.

Here is a rundown on local graduation ceremonies: 

May 22

  • Quincy High School: 2 p.m. on the football field, weather permitting. It will be followed by the 73 seniors driving through town in their favorite vehicle —a tradition that began during the pandemic. 
  • Coldwater High School: 5 p.m. with 216 graduating on the Cardinal Field.

May 26

  • Bronson High School: 7 p.m. with 75 graduating on the football field or gym, depending on the weather.

May 29

  • Union City High School: 2 p.m. with 67 graduating at McNett Fieldhouse. 

June 4

  • Union City Charter Academy: 11 a.m.  with 10 graduating at McNett Fieldhouse. 

June 12

  • Pansophia Academy: 4 p.m. with 18 graduating at The Ponds of Coldwater.
Downtown Coldwater sidewalks were lined with families and friends for the Coldwater High School Senior Swing Out on their last day of school. Graduation is 5 p.m. Sunday.
Keeping their caps on was a challenge during Senior Swing Out Friday.
Coldwater High School graduation is Sunday. On Friday, graduates had the traditional Senior Swing Out through downtown Coldwater.
Many Coldwater seniors said "thank you" to Brian Stevens, their U.S. government teacher.
