Leah Marlene watch parties to take place Sunday
NORMAL (WEEK) - There are multiple ways for you to cheer on American Idol finalist Leah Marlene Sunday.
McLean County Unit 5 is hosting what they are calling the original Leah Marlene watch party.
According to a Facebook post, a pre-party will take place in the Normal West south lot from 5-6:30 PM. It will feature food trucks, concessions, activities, and more. The watch party will take place from 7-10 PM in the Normal West North gym. Tickets are $3, and required for both events, with more information coming out on Friday afternoon.
Illinois State University’s Athletic Department, along with the University and Radio Bloomington will team up to also host a watch party at Redbird Arena Sunday. Doors will open at 6 PM, and it is free and open to the public. No outside food and drink will be allowed, but concessions will be available for purchase. Parking will be made available in the lots near the stadium and all entrances to Redbird Arena will be open.
Marlene reached the top 3 of American Idol last Sunday, and was welcomed home by thousands Tuesday during a parade and concert in Uptown Normal.
The American Idol finale will air live on our sister station Heart of Illinois ABC Sunday, May 22 at 7 PM.
