It was a day of duckling rescues in West Michigan! Two groups of ducklings are safe after falling into drains in Grand Haven and Cascade Township.
The first duckling rescue happened in Grand Haven. The Grand Haven Department of Public Safetyposted photos on Facebook of officers rescuing the ducklings Friday morning.
The department says officers were called to Woodlawn and Ferry to rescue the ducklings after they fell into the drain.
According to the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety, the ducklings have been reunited with their family.
Meanwhile, another duck family was in need of rescuing in Cascade Township.
Photos posted to the Cascade Township Fire Department’s Facebook page show firefighters rescuing ducklings from a drain under the watchful eye of the mama duck.
The fire department offered their thanks to the people who alerted them to the ducklings in the drain say they "saved the day."
