Tristan Thompson won’t tolerate heckling comments about his family, especially at his place of work.
During the May 19 episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” the Bulls center explained to his on-and-off-again girlfriend, Khloé Kardashian, why he called on security to remove a fan from an NBA game last November between the Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies.
Kardashian, 37, pressed Thompson, 31, about the situation after seeing a bunch of reports at the time, which claimed hecklers targeted Thompson about her family.
According to Thompson, who played for the Kings at the time, the fan in question called Kardashian a “whore,” and said, “She talks to different basketball players, you’re just the next one.”
When Kardashian asked Thompson about the situation, he said, “It was directed at you.”
Thompson said he told the fan, “Listen here, man. Enjoy the game with your girl, because you’re coming here to see me.”
Kardashian laughed off the comment, and said, “I could care less. I’m not offended.”
“OK, he called me a whore, and said I date basketball players,” she said. “I’ve had six boyfriends, three of them have been in the NBA. Thank you. How is that my problem?”
The NBA champion, who shares 4-year-old daughter True Thompson with Kardashian, recalled telling the fan at the game, “You’re not gonna keep talking about my family like that. Got his ass outta there.”
In a confessional during the latest “Kardashians” episode, the mother of one praised Thompson’s actions.
“Tristan is very protective about his family,” she said. “He doesn’t like anyone talking about us and that’s just really cute. I think that’s just how everyone should be. You just are supposed to protect your family.”
Thompson and Kardashian have had an on-and-off-again relationship for years. She recently confirmed that the pair is not together but remains close as co-parents.
In January, Thompson confirmed that he had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols and apologized to Kardashian on Instagram for “the heartache and humiliation” he’s caused.
