MSP: Crystal Falls counterfeit money was used unknowingly

CRYSTAL FALLS, Mich. (WLUC) - UPDATE: The Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post said the person of interest in a counterfeit investigation turned himself in and it appears he did not know the money was fake.

The man has since made good with the business that reported the crime.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post are requesting the assistance of the public to help identify a person of interest in a counterfeit money investigation.

Police say the photos above are from April 8 in Crystal Falls.
