The Golden State Warriors had the ideal start to the Western Conference Finals with their Game 1 demolition of the Dallas Mavericks. But there was one small blemish that continues to haunt point guard Stephen Curry.

The Warriors star has been *gulp* an average free-throw shooter. Steph Curry shot 92.3% from the charity stripe during the regular season, second in the NBA just decimals behind teammate Jordan Poole. But in the postseason, he's shot just 79.5% through 12 games thus far, dipping sub 80% after going 4-for-7 in their Game 1 win against the Mavs.

Curry's struggles even induced an in-game pep talk from Draymond Green, who tried to hype up his Warriors co-star after missing his first two from the line.

But Steph Curry is far from concerned. Asked about if after Game 1, the Warriors point guard claims he's just as confident as ever.

Via NBC Sports Bay Area:

“I shook this one off,” Curry told reporters after the win. “You always just talk to yourself no matter if you're missing shots or free throws or whatever it is, you just talk positive to yourself about what's coming next.

“I think I blamed it on the four-day break tonight in my head and then just tried to shake it off. Whatever you can to motivate you yourself. I don't ever lose confidence. It's just that self-talk that helps.”

Mavs fans probably shouldn't hold their breath that his cold spell will continue. With the game on the line, Warriors fans everywhere are still going to trust Stephen Curry with complete faith.
