Drivers will encounter closed lanes and delays on Grand River Avenue, between Novi and Wixom roads though mid-July. Contractors are replacing slabs of concrete that have gone back, according to county road commission officials.
While the road will remain open during the work, the closed lanes will create traffic bottlenecks, especially during rush hour.
The closures will remain in place until the work is complete, whether workers are present or not.
The new concrete will need to cure after being poured, so while the work may appear complete, the lanes won’t be ready for traffic.
