Officers honored for ACHS threat response

During Monday’s meeting of the Appomattox County Board of Supervisors, a resolution was introduced to honor four officers with the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office who were involved in a March 28 incident that originated at Appomattox County High School. Two people were arrested following a high-speed chase after allegedly threatening a student and possessing a firearm in the vehicle.

The officers, who were present at the meeting and received a copy of the resolution, are Major Robby Richardson, Investigator Chip Woody, Deputy/School Resource Officer Daniel Gunter and Deputy Rodney Brisentine.
