UTICA (WWJ) -- Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a big fire that broke out at a business in Macomb County overnight.

According to authorities, the fire was reported around midnight on Friday at one of the businesses at the Utica Professional Center, near Van Dyke and M-59, north of Hall Road, in Utica.

The fire, which caused extensive damage to the building, was difficult to put out because of the age of the building and the power lines overhead, said firefighters. However, the flames finally dissipated at around 3:15 a.m.

One firefighter sustained non-life threatening injuries while battling the blaze and is currently hospitalized, said officials.

Utica investigators are currently trying to determine the cause of the fire.
