Falcons OC Dave Ragone: Defenses won't know what's coming

The Atlanta Falcons offense will look drastically different to start the 2022 season than it did in 2021.

With Matt Ryan, Mike Davis, and Russell Gage elsewhere and Calvin Ridley suspended, the Atlanta offense has a chance to rebuild itself with a new image.

The team added a few WRs and RBs in both the draft and in free agency along with Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder at QB, and Falcons OC Dave Ragone is excited for the possibilities on the offensive side of the ball this season.

"What you're going to see is a team that plays fast, physical, and hard in terms of both run and pass and hopefully makes everything look the same," says Ragone. "When a defense lines up against us, and they're not sure what's coming, and when the ball is snapped they have to react late, that goes to the advantage of the offense."

The Falcons have no shortage of questions they have to answer, especially along the offensive line, but if they can get those sorted out, you could see and unit that becomes a big surprise across the NFL.
