Authorities identify Iowa toddler who died after being hit by truck in Marshall County accident

Authorities have identified the Iowa toddler who died Tuesday after being hit by a pickup truck that was backing out of a garage.

Macie L. Rosander, 2, was riding a tricycle behind the vehicle around 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, which said the driver looked but did not see the toddler while backing up.

Marshall County sheriff's deputies and other emergency responders who responded to the accident in the 3300 block of Fairman Avenue outside of Baxter performed CPR, but the toddler died at the scene.
