Former Oh My Girl Jiho Is Dating Kim Shin Young? Here's What the Comedian Has to Say

For quite some time, the rumor of Jiho and Kim Shin Young being in a relationship has been circulating among some fans of Oh My Girl.

The topic became more talked about after the controversial YouTube channel "Sojang" uploaded a video containing "evidence" that the two celebrities are indeed dating. The three-minute video compiled more than 30 photos showing Jiho and Kim Shin Young allegedly wearing matching items, including clothes, accessories, and even phone cases.

It was also said that the female K-pop idol and comedian became close after the latter was the host for the 2017 "Coloring Book" showcase of Oh My Girl.

Other than that, it was mentioned that Jiho would write "Shin Ba" in the "thanks to" section of every album of her group, and many fans claimed that "Shin Ba" was Kim Shin Young.

Fans even alleged that the singer changed her hair salon to the one Kim Shin Young goes to, while her bandmates all go to a different shop. It was also said that the two spent Christmas together.

Furthermore, Sojang stated that fans have previously gotten upset at Jiho because she often talks about Kim Shin Young on a messenger app where artists and fans can communicate with each other.

A few days after the video came out, Kim Shin Young spoke about her dating rumor with former Oh My Girl member Jiho during the May 20 broadcast of her radio show "Kim Shin Young's Noon Song of Hope."

The comedian shared, "People around me have sent me links to this ridiculous rumor. I was like, 'Will anyone believe this though?', but it turned out quite a lot of people, including some of my friends, believed it was true. Honestly, the listeners of my radio show would know me well enough to know that I like to give than receive."

Kim Shin Young continued that her dating rumor with Jiho makes her laugh because "it's so absurd." She also revealed that after the rumor spread online, she's been receiving comments saying she's ugly.

"You know what? I'm not that ugly in person. They also say that I'm old, but I don't look old for someone in their 40s," she commented.

Kim laughed and carried on, "But setting that aside, the rumor is not true. I had no idea that I would be taken that way. I could just laugh it off, but it could hurt some people. If you really have things to say, say them to my face."

"Come and join me on this radio show. You'll be able to realize all these words spreading online are false," she added.

Kim Shin Young Explains Why She and Former Oh My Girl Jiho Have Matching Items

After disproving her dating rumor with Jiho, Kim Shin Young revealed why she and the female K-pop idol have many matching items.

The comedian explained that the clothes and shoes that Jiho wore actually belongs to her. "Is it wrong to lend my clothes and shoes to my friend? I simply wanted her to look good on her way to work, during the fan meeting and so on. Plus, I bought the bracelet in 2008. Mine's thicker," she said.

Kim Shin Young finally stated, "I mean, come on, would I even be able to go somewhere with her now? Let me clarify this whole thing once more, it's not true. Please stop this, and give much support to my friend."
