LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. (WPEC) — Breakups can certainly be tough, but one man is facing charges after police say he couldn't leave his former girlfriend alone.
A Palm Beach County sheriff's deputy in Florida reported getting a 911 call from a home in Lake Worth Beach the evening of April 26, when the woman asked “deputies to respond to a verbal domestic dispute.”
The deputy wrote in the arrest report that dispatch said: “the female had locked herself in the bathroom while her ex-boyfriend was at the residence.”
According to the deputy, "Upon my arrival I observed a [man] talking on a cellphone outside of the residence on the sidewalk. When I identified myself to the [man] he advised that he had a verbal argument with his ex-girlfriend, [her name]. The [man] identified himself to me as Ramon Molina.
...he loved her so much.
“Molina started to tell me that the female half is going to want a ‘restraining order’ due to him coming over. When I began to ask Molina what occurred today, he advised that for the past two weeks [the victim] had blocked him through all communication. Molina explained that he had dated [the victim] for the past eight months and loved her. Molina even confessed that he wanted to buy [the victim] a wedding ring because he loved her so much. Molina stated today he had text [the victim] that he was going to bring her Taco Bell over to her residence. Molina knew that the text would not go through due to still being blocked by [the victim]. Molina advised that he first responded to [the victim]'s residence where he was unable to locate her.”
...he entered the residence through the back door...
The arrest report said Molina, from Boynton Beach, told the deputy he “remembered that [the victim] was watching her friend's dog at [another home]. When Molina responded to [that home], he contacted the owner via cellphone and asked if anyone was at her residence. The owner advised that no one was home and requested for Molina to leave. Molina explained that he knew that [the victim] was inside and was concerned for her well-being. Due to Molina's concern for [the victim] he entered the residence through the back door and found [the victim] had locked herself in the bathroom. Molina stated that [the victim] had yelled at him to leave her alone. At this time, [somebody]'s sister entered the residence and told Molina to leave, which she did.
...she did not want to speak to him anymore...
“I then made contact with [the victim] inside of the residence who advised that she wants Molina to leave her alone. [The victim] explained that for the past two weeks Molina had called her workplace multiple times and was told to stop calling. [The victim] stated that Molina would even call her from blocked phone numbers in attempts to speak to her. [The victim] advised that she had made it clear to Molina that she did not want to speak to him anymore and wanted to move on. [The victim] confirmed Molina's statement and advised that he attempted to take her therapy dog this evening. [The victim] explained that while she had locked herself in the bathroom, she heard Molina tell her that he was going to take her therapy dog from her. [The victim] stressed to me how Molina’s actions affected her emotionally. I provided [the victim] with a victim's right packet, which she signed for, and a victim information sheet with the case number on it.
“I then reengaged contact with Molina and read him his Miranda rights. Molina confirmed that he wanted to speak to me and confirmed that he knew that she had blocked him for the past two weeks. Molina stated that he had also contacted [the victim]’s work in attempt to speak to her.”
Molina, 21, was arrested and charged with stalking (dating, violence). He was booked shortly after midnight April 27 and released just before 7 p.m.
However, that wasn’t the end of this case.
On May 12, another Palm Beach County sheriff's deputy wrote in a second arrest report about “a violation of a NCO,” which is a No Contact Order.
According to the arrest report, it was issued in this case on April 27.
The deputy wrote about meeting with the victim, “who stated she received several phone calls from a unknown number [sic]. [The victim] stated she answered a call, and it was Ramon Molina.”
Also, “[The victim] showed me a screenshot of an Instagram message between Ramon and [somebody who asked] Ramon ‘why are you calling at all’ Ramon replied, ‘I know I did it, it was a mistake,’ ‘because I want her not to put me to jail,’ ‘Probably the wrong person to call’ The Ramon asked [somebody] ‘Plz [blacked out] I won’t call her anymore.’”
Molina was booked the evening of May 12. He remains in the Main Detention Center.
