May 20 (UPI) -- Ava DuVernay, Lauren Ridloff and Joshua Jackson are teaming up for a new Starz romantic drama, which has received a script-to-series commitment for 18 episodes over three seasons.
DuVernay, Ridloff and Jackson are executive producing the untitled series with Ridloff and Jackson set to star.
The half-hour show will follow two polar opposites who begin a love affair that turns their worlds upside down.

One is ambitious while the other is restless, one is ready to commit while the other debates the merits of relationships, one is black and one is white and one is deaf while the other is not.
DuVernary will oversee the writing through her company Array Filmworks and its overall deal with Warner Bros. Television.
Kat Candler will write the first episode, executive produce and serve as showrunner. Paul Garnes is also executive producing.
"On behalf of my producing partner Paul Garnes everyone at Array Filmworks, I'm thrilled to develop this passion project with Lauren, Josh and Kat. Starz and Warner Bros. Television have made a bold production commitment to immediately explore three seasons, and we're revved up and ready to begin what I hope will be a beautiful journey for all involved," DuVernay said in a statement.
