Joshua Brown joins Buena Vista National Bank lending team

CHESTER – Buena Vista National Bank officials have announced its newest lender and vice president, Joshua Brown.

Josh is a graduate of Chester High School and has twenty years of lending experience in Randolph County.

“I am originally from Chester and now live between Campbell Hill and Steeleville with my wife and two boys. I’ve enjoyed living and working throughout Randolph County, including Steeleville, Coulterville and Sparta. This month I’m celebrating 20 years in banking. Outside of my career, I also enjoy being involved in the community. I have served as a church council member for 15 years and founded Steeleville’s Youth Basketball program for 2nd-4th graders. I enjoy hunting, fishing and helping coach my sons’ teams in basketball and baseball.

“My favorite pastime, however, is golf. I’m always trying to look for more time to enjoy it, but with my boys loving the more popular sports and my wife, despising the game (only agreeing to play once a year for Father’s Day!), I don’t hit the greens as often as I’d like.

“I’m excited to work at Buena Vista National Bank. I opened my very first checking account with Buena Vista many years ago. I’m looking forward to helping others begin their “banking journey” with the bank that helped begin mine.”
