Published

NHL Trade, Pittsburgh Penguins John Marino

As you may have settled in for Game 2 overtime in Florida, lightning struck for Tampa Bay. The St. Louis Blues won’t go quietly against the Colorado Avalanche. What the heck can the Toronto Maple Leafs do now? Nashville will continue to hit ’em with the Hynes. Our folks in Montreal looked at goalies on the NHL trade market, and Dave Molinari examined the Pittsburgh Penguins trade possibilities.

PHN+: Assuming GM Ron Hextall stays, who else stays, and who should the Pittsburgh Penguins trade?

NHL Trade Talk, News & National Hockey Now:

Florida Hockey Now: That one is going to sting. A last-second mistake and Tampa Bay pounced for a 2-0 lead on the Florida Panthers.

Colorado: Toronto can’t escape Round One. Colorado can’t crack Round Two. Folks are getting tense after the St. Louis Blues controlled a lifeless Avalanche in Game 2. Is it “here we go again” for the Colorado Avalanche?

NHL.com: The Jack Adams nominees were announced. Perennial no-show on the list Mike Sullivan kept his streak intact, despite guiding a frequently gutted team to a 100-point season. Here are the three (also deserving) noms.

Tennessean: On the topic of coaches, the Nashville Predators are keeping around former WBS Penguins coach Jon Hynes for two more years.

Montreal: NHL trade talk–Carey Price is consulting with surgeons and family. He may be finished, which leaves Montreal Canadiens without a goalie. Which netminders could be on the NHL trade market?

Sportsnet: Ok, where do the Toronto Maple Leafs go from here?

Boston: He lights the lamp in big numbers. One-third of the perfection line might retire or leave, but David Pastrnak could get a big extension soon from the Boston Bruins.

Philly: Flyers fans aren’t happy. They have plenty of questions. Strong questions. Sam Carchidi takes a swing from the NHL trade market to what is happening with GM Chuck Fletcher and the Philadelphia Flyers.

Washington: Just like the Pittsburgh Penguins core, age is catching up with Nick Backstrom. His hip is not so good, and it sounds like all options are on the table for the Washington Capitals stalwart.

Vegas: Three more coaching candidates for the bossless Vegas Golden Knights.

Calgary: Here’s the million-dollar question–can the Calgary Flames stop Connor McDavid?
