The Toyota Camry is one of the world’s most popular cars. Unsurprisingly, Toyota offers many trims and models of its best-selling midsize sedan. One is the Camry Hybrid, which provides a long list of options. Here’s how much you’ll pay for a fully loaded 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid.

A brief overview of the 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid’s trims

Toyota offers five trim options for the Camry Hybrid. The standard trim is the LE Hybrid, starting at about $27,500. It has a 2.5-liter inline-four engine and an electric motor generating 208 hp total. They pair with a continuously variable transmission. Every Camry Hybrid has the same powertrain. The LE Hybrid gets about 52 mpg combined.

Starting at $29,000, the next trim level up is the SE Hybrid. It provides some interior upgrades, but its fuel economy is lower at 46 mpg combined despite having the same hybrid engine. Another trim level up is the SE Hybrid Nightshade. This model costs just under $30,000 and also gets 46 mpg combined. The main difference is that the Nightshade boasts a darker, sleeker look.

The Camry Hybrid’s fourth trim is the XLE Hybrid, starting at just over $32,000. Like the SE trims, the XLE also gets 46 mpg combined. This model upgrades the car’s interior and adds quite a few new features and options.

Finally, there’s the range-topping XSE Hybrid.

So, how much is a fully loaded 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid?

The Camry XSE Hybrid starts at about $33,000 and gets 46 mpg combined. But Toyota offers quite a few options and packages that increase the Camry’s price considerably.

For example, the Navigation Upgrade Package costs over $3,300. It adds features such as a navigation system, a cold-weather package, and a driver assistance package. Another luxurious upgrade is a power moonroof, costing almost $900.

In terms of accessories, Toyota’s got options. There are cargo mats, mudguards, a protection package, and more. These accessories range from about $25 to $500.

Altogether, a fully loaded 2022 Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid costs just over $40,000. It offers quite a few other features, though.

For example, the XSE Hybrid gets comfort features such as heated leather front seats, a leather steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Toyota also upgraded this model’s tech features to a 7.0-inch multi-information display and a 9.0-inch touchscreen display.

Hybrid price vs. regular gas model price

A fully loaded gas-powered Camry also costs about $40,000, and both the regular and hybrid sedans have access to the same options and packages. So, when it comes to their interiors, the fully loaded version of either car is practically identical. But what isn’t the same is the powertrain.

The regular Camry is gas-powered, and the most expensive trim packs a powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine. It harnesses 301 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. So a fully loaded Camry is more powerful and sportier than a fully loaded Camry Hybrid.

That said, the hybrid version is far more fuel-efficient. That V6 allows the regular Camry to get only about 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway for 27 mpg combined.
