Series History with Villanova (21-1)
Creighton has taken the last 20 meetings with Villanova as the Bluejays have built a 21-1 edge over the Wildcats.

Scouting Creighton
After locking up the second seed in the BIG EAST Tournament in the walk-off win over Butler on Sunday, May 15, Creighton will use the final weekend against Villanova as a tuneup.

Creighton enters the weekend hitting .269 as a team. Alan Roden guides the offense as the sophomore moved near the top-10 of the NCAA hitting .406.

On the mound the Bluejays have a 3.83 ERA, led by ace Dylan Tebrake. The Minnesota native was at his best with a program record 15 strikeouts in the win over Butler on May 14.

Scouting Villanova

In the midst of one of their best seasons since the Creighton joined the BIG EAST in 2013, Villanova can reach the BIG EAST Tournament for the first time since the reformation of the conference. The only team standing in the Wildcats way is the team Villanova has not had an answer for, the Creighton Bluejays.

Villanova enters the weekend hitting .243 as a team, led by Chris Rotondo (.352) and Joey Castellanos (.326). There is a significant drop off after those two as Jack O'Reily is hitting .262.

On the mound the Wildcats enter the weekend with a 5.71 ERA, holding the opposition to a .284 batting average.
Villanova's pitching staff has recorded 363 strikeouts and issued 208 walks.

Breaking Down the BIG EAST Tournament
As the final week of the BIG EAST regular season is about to begin, two of the four spots in the BIG EAST
Tournament are locked up. Connecticut and Creighton has locked up the one and two seeds in the tournament
respectively.

Butler is the only team eliminated.

The remaining schedule of teams with much to play for this weekend are below.

Xavier (10-8) vs. St. John's (May 19-21)
Georgetown (8-10) vs. Connecticut (May 19-21)
Villanova (8-10) vs. Creighton (May 19-21)
St. John's (7-9-1) at Xavier (May 19-21)
Seton Hall (6-11) at Butler (May 19-21)

Xavier clinches a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament and the three seed with one win this weekend as the Musketeers hold the tiebreakers over both Georgetown and Villanova.

For Georgetown, Villanova, St. John's and Seton Hall each game over the weekend will be critical. Obviously the Hoyas and Wildcats have the lead, but the Red Storm and Pirates each have a path to Mason.
