Pensacola Police lieutenant retires after 35 years of service

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The City of Pensacola and the Pensacola Police Department gathered to celebrate a distinguished career Thursday.

Pensacola Police Lt. Jimmy Donohoe retired from the force after 35 years of service.
Lt. Donohoe served with valor in almost every unit of the department.
On Thursday, speakers shared memories of Lt. Donohoe's total commitment to the community he served.

Lt. Donohoe leaves a national legacy for the "Take Me Home" program that is used by law enforcement across the county to return missing children with autism safely to their families.
