One arrested following early morning stabbing in Homewood

PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) A 42-year-old male has been arrested for his connection in stabbing multiple people in Homewood.

Urvin Wright of Homewood was arrested and is being charged with two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of recklessly endangering another person.

Police were originally called to the 7700 block of Frankstown Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

When authorities arrived they were directed to a female with multiple stab wounds as well as two others who suffered wounds.

Medics transported that victim to a hospital in critical condition, a second female and another male were transported in stable condition.

Units arrived to process the scene and begin an investigation.

VCU detectives arrested Wright after 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

Wright is being held at Allegheny County Jail.
