A person driving a white 2007 Mini Cooper was allegedly fleeing a hit-and-run crash on the George Washington Bridge Wednesday when they struck another vehicle just off the bridge in Fort Lee.

The 40-year-old driver involved in the second crash told police she was on Lemoine Avenue near Bridge Plaza North when the other driver hit her Honda Pilot while trying to pass her around 7:30 p.m.

After hitting the Honda Pilot, the driver sped away toward Englewood Cliffs, according to authorities.

A witness was able to take down the license plate number— 7AWSP1—which police said is registered to a man who lives in Weston, Connecticut.

The second hit-and-run victim was not seriously injured.

A Be On the Lookout (BOLO) alert for the vehicle was sent to law enforcement agencies in the area.
