The Junior League of El Paso, Inc. held its Women’s Wellness Summit at the Paso Del Norte Hotel on Thursday.
Two-time Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman and El Paso professional golf legend Kristi Albers were featured speakers at the event.
14-time champion boxing star and El Paso native Kayla Gomez also led a session with her mother Crysta Aceves and grandmother Cindy Aceves about how they support each other in boxing.
"I think as women we have to support each other, we have all different types of walks of life so we need to be able to empower and lift the women because the future women of our world of our community depend on that," said Rebecca Serros, head committee chair and women wellness chair for the Junior League of El Paso.
The event featured multiple vendors and businesses.
A total of 450 women attended the event, Serros added.
"The Junior League of El Paso has been planning this for years to have the community to come together especially after a time of Covid where we were all having to deal with our own physical and mental barriers," said Serros
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Junior League of El Paso, Inc. community projects.
